Afro – Latina sensation Amara La Negra makes her cross over debut on the fourth installment of the Love and Hip- Hop reality television franchise on VH1 this year. Amara La Negra is a Miami born singer of Dominican descent, known for her Latino urban music, was named in 2017, Billboard’s Artist on the rise. Her hit song Ayy went viral in 2013, making her the queen of twerk. The song has over 20 million views on YouTube. This Dominican star has also worked with top artists like Sean Paul, Kent Jones, Mr. Vegas, and also with fellow cast member and rapper Trina.
As being one of the cast members of Love and Hip- Hop: Miami, Amara’s intentions are to expose her music to the American market. But most of all represent the Afro Latinas, whom she feels have been practically invisible on mainstream media.
Love and Hip-Hop: Miami premiered on Vh1 today.
