On Friday August 16th, the MacArthur Park Levitt Pavilion became a giant skanking pit with many more dancing around the perimeter to the Alternative-indie ska sounds of Profesor Galactico, the traditional ska/reggae sounds of Red Store Bums and the ska punk hardcore of La Resistencia.

Last Friday night at Grand Performances at the California Plaza in Downtown L.A., Ozomatli and special friends gave a master class in the musical culture and history of our beloved Los Angeles.

After finding out that a secret show was going to be taking place at a historic location in Silverlake Ca, know as LOS GLOBOS , I found myself wanting to know more about it , to my surprise it was not any of the bands I thought it would be , it was better , and the anticipation paid off .
