Mexico City’s R&B queen Girl Ultra is set to launch her most extensive U.S. tour this weekend. The tour comes in advance of her debut full-length album ‘Nuevos Aires‘ which will be released this fall.
The most recent single is “Dame Love,” a collaboration with Cuco.
The album’s first single was “Ella Tu Y Yo.” “Ella Tu Y Yo” explores a complex situation in a relationship in which there is a third person involved. Girl Ultra tackles this subject without hate or resentment but in a narrative and contemplative way, sharing the perspective of each character involved. She says, “this is a thorn I had to pull out for me to be able to keep writing about love.”
