Sunday night the Grammys were held in LA and of course Musica Roots represented the Indie Spanish music scene in style by throwing it’s first annual post Grammy bash. Needless to say the crow showed up with energy, rhythm and style. What is the link between fashion and music you ask? Very simple, we are influenced by what our favorite artists are sporting. We see it in their music videos, in concert and in the media. In the 90s it was the plaid everywhere and torn denim with the popularity of grunge and the khaki pants worn by our favorite gangsta rappers, there was a time when all the little girls dressed up like Madonna with lace and accessories, from the hair styles or Rhianna and Katy Perry to the cool gentleman style by Pharrell Williams, we are influenced on what is current and cool by the artists we admire. What is clear is that the Latin energy filled Los Globos Sunday night and guests showed up wearing fun colors, rockin prints but of course keeping it comfy chic to be able to dance the night away to the sounds of Los Rabanes.
