Gaby Lagarda, will release her new music video Refugees today. This will be the third single of her debut EP titled SOULDIER.
Refugees is a cry for understanding the difficulties of life and the path to achieving freedom from our demons, our past and our future.
The music video was shot in beautiful Joshua Tree with a 1983 JVC KY-310 camera, nicknamed “the fire department” because of its red body. Everything was cut from two one-shots during sunrise and sunset, with the purpose of reflecting the one-way journey and duality of two characters. One that fights inner battles, and one that fights the world every day in pursuit of a meaningful life.
One of the outstanding qualities of the music video is that while looking for a vintage vibe and playing around with split screens, one-shot is always in reverse throughout the song.
