Latin music has long held a significant presence at the GRAMMY Awards, reflecting its global influence and popularity. Each year, the prestigious ceremony recognizes the outstanding achievements of Latin artists in categories such as Best Latin Pop Album, Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album, Best Urban Music Album, and Best Tropical Latin Album, among others.
Iconic figures such as Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan, Santana, Ricky Martin, Juanes, and Shakira have all graced the GRAMMY stage, cementing their status as trailblazers and cultural ambassadors for Latin music worldwide.
In its 2024 edition, the Latino representation was part of the evening highlights at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Among the winners, we had multi-awarded artists Juanes (Colombia) and Natalia Lafourcade (Mexico) in a draw for the Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album category.
In one of the most touching moments of the night, Karol G received her first-ever GRAMMY in the Best “Musica Urbana” Album category for her “Mañana será bonito” album. She delivered a heartfelt speech giving a shoutout to her fans, her birth country, and some of her colleagues.
Other Latin winners at the gala were Gaby Moreno for Best Latin Pop Album, Peso Pluma for Best Mexican & Tejano Music Album, and Miguel Zenón & Luis Perdomo for Best Latin Jazz Album, among others.
